LOYOLA KNOWLEDGE RESOURCE CENTRE (LIBRARY)

The library is centralized and is located adjacent to the main building and functions independently. The library has a well ventilated and lighted reading cum stack room, mezzanine floor for housing special collections, special stack room, reference section, periodical section, IT zone, research scholars’ section and circulation counter.

• Library has sufficient area(355 sq.m.) and seating capacity(110)
• We have a toilet and wash basin attached to the library
• Extended working hours-one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening
• Library also works on Saturdays and during vacation and on special request or demand from the users.
• Tables modified as Individual reading cubicles
• Lounge area for browsing and reading journals and newspapers.
• Wi-Fi enabled reading corners
• Air–conditioned computer room (IT Zone) with an IBM server. Twenty computers are networked (LAN) with the server for accessing e-resources and Library OPAC
• A special collection of CD ROM data bases
• Computers are provided in the reading space as well for accessing internet, digital library and library OPAC
